Regal Website and Rebrand

Regal is and an established company with three very seperate departments...

1.) Bullion: Buying of Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium investments and storage options.
2.) Regal Manufacturing & Tools: Includes a full range of Jewellery tools and many services involved with making Jewellery such as Castings and 3D Printing.
3.) Regal Jewellery: A wholesale supplier to many Jewellery retailers this large collection requires secure access.

The website required a complete overhaul and we had to achieve this with a very limited budget. After many years of using a variety of fonts for their brand I choose a new google font that was free and available for use on the website. To help consolidate the look and feel across the departments I came up with a logo that could incorporate the department title text to the right of the main company insigna lockup. The website would use a vector SVG file for the logo insignia and google fonts for the department text.

Process

I talked the client trough various options and process but as budget was limited we had to cut a few corners.
I did my usual research and discovery phase, sketched some wireframes followed by discussions with the Regal team. I then mocked up flat designs which included quickly tweaking the brand and selecting some fonts and colour schemes for the various departments. I started on some brand and web guidelines for the development handover, but it was at this stage the client found it hard to grasp flat designs and an html prototype was required - this took over the need for detailed web guidelines as the css would suffice.

With some final low level pages being completed the website is currently in the process of being handed over to the development team for final implementation.
